Yeah we need another ace, a closer, and a whole lot of set-up guys, but we could desperately use Randy Wolf’s services as well. Primarily because were far from front-runners in the Sabathia, Lowe, and Burnett Sweepstakes, and assuming that another team will outbid us on Oliver Perez (the assumption strictly based on Boras’ ability to sell an icicle to an Eskimo) Randy Wolf appears to be amongst the best of the rest.

Omar’s not behind 8-ball. No GM is, but I say there is no more time to waste. Fred, Jeff, lets get our feet wet now and make a mini splash. Please give Omar the green light before we strike out while the iron is hot.

Randy Wolf is fully recovered from his Tommy John Surgery, and appeared at the top of his game in Houston last year. I believe that Randy will sign for 3yrs and over that time he’ll reach career highs in wins and innings pitched.

megamets comments: Randy made 4.5 million last year so Omar could probably get him for 3yrs-20mil, maybe even less, but expect 3yrs-20mil to be the neighborhood.
